NHAI is starting a Fastag Annual Pass of Rs 3000 for private vehicle owners from August 15, which will have a validity of 200 toll free trips or 1 year. To recharge it, payment will have to be made on the NHAI website.
The National Highway Authority is going to start the Fastag Annual Pass from August 15, which is especially for those private vehicle owners who often travel on the National Highway. The price of this pass is Rs 3000, and under this, you will get 200 toll free trips or 1 year validity.
What is the Fastag Annual Pass
The annual pass is for private vehicles that are not associated with any business. Whose information will be verified from the VAHAN database. It will be linked to your existing Fastag and it will be applicable only on National Highway and National Expressway. Normal Fastag charges will be applicable on State Highway Municipal Road or Parking.
How to recharge
To recharge the Fastag Annual Pass, first ensure that your Fastag is active and linked to the vehicle's registration number.
Now after August 15, go to the Highway Yatra App or NHAI/MoRTH website.
After this, fill in the Fastag ID and vehicle details.
Now pay Rs 3000 online.
Within 2 hours of making the payment, your pass will be activated and you will get confirmation via SMS.
What will be the extra fee
Only Rs 3000 will have to be paid for this annual pass. There will be no additional charge in a period of 1 year or till 200 trips are completed. After the period or trip is over, the pass will automatically convert to normal Fastag mode and to get the benefit again, you will have to take a new pass by paying Rs 3000.

The benefits of this annual pass are being told that after taking it, you will be relieved of the hassle of frequent online recharge. Also, the waiting time at toll booths will be reduced and there will be no disputes regarding payment. You will also be able to travel toll-free for a period of one year. NHAI believes that this scheme will save both time and money, especially for those who travel on highways daily or frequently within a radius of 60 km.
