Big news has come out for the students who have passed the NEET exam. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has released the revised schedule of NEET UG 2025 Round-2 counseling. Now candidates seeking admission in medical and dental colleges will be able to register online from 4th September to 9th September. The process of registration and fee payment will be done on the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in.
As per the new schedule, the verification of seat matrix will be done by all the participating institutes on 3rd September. After this, from 5th to 9th September, candidates will be able to choose the college and course of their choice. This process is called choice filling and locking. It will be mandatory for every candidate to lock their choice by September 9.
Who will get the chance?
All those students can participate in this round who were not allotted any seat in the first round. Also, those candidates can also participate in it who got a seat in the first round but are not satisfied with it and want a better option. In this way, Round-2 gives a new opportunity to the students to get admission in their favorite college or course.
When will the result come?
MCC has clarified that the processing of Round-2 seat allotment will be done on September 10 and 11. After this, the result of Round-2 will be declared on September 12. Students who will be allotted seats will have to report to their allotted institute from September 13 to 19. During this time, verification of documents and admission formalities will have to be completed.
Counselling for state quota also fixed
MCC has also released the dates for counseling for state quota. According to this, counseling under the state quota will be held from 10 to 19 September 2025. That is, during this time students will also get a chance for medical seats at the state level.

Further Schedule also released
MCC has announced the dates of not only Round-2 but also the further rounds. Round-3 registration will be held between 24 and 29 September. The result of Round-3 will be released on 3 October. After this there will be a stray vacancy round, which will start from October 14 and its result will be declared on October 18.
