WhatsApp is India's popular instant messaging platform. However, in today's time, most scammers are making innocent people their victims through WhatsApp. On the same lines, WhatsApp keeps bringing new security features for its users every day. In this episode, now another new privacy feature is going to be introduced. This is the WhatsApp Username PIN. As the name suggests, through this new feature, no unknown person will be able to send you a message without a username and PIN. Only by entering a special PIN will a person be able to message you. Let's know all the details.
In the latest report of Wabetainfo, information about the new Username PIN feature has been given citing WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.17.48 version. According to the report, a new privacy feature is going to knock on WhatsApp soon. Through this feature, no unknown person will be able to send you WhatsApp messages without a PIN.
Information related to Username has come out in the old report, in which it was said that if the user is not comfortable giving his phone number to someone, then soon a feature named Username is going to come on WhatsApp. People will also be able to message you on WhatsApp through this username. However, information has been received in the latest report that the Username feature will work with a special PIN. If someone does not have that PIN, then they will not be able to message you even after having a username.
A screenshot of this feature has also been shared in the report. It can be seen in the screenshot that a banner of Reduce unwanted messages has been spotted by the users. It is written on this banner that people sending messages for the first time through a username should add a PIN.
This makes it clear that WhatsApp has also added a new PIN feature to make the username feature secure. Even if someone has your username, they will not be able to send you spam messages without the PIN. To receive messages, you will have to share a special PIN with the other person.
