Adani Green Energy issues LOI to Bondada Engineering for Rs 1,050 cr project at Khavda Renewable Energy Park

Bondada Engineering Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Adani Green Energy Limited and its subsidiary for supply of goods worth Rs 1.050 crore for the 650 MW solar power project at Adani's Khavda Renewable Energy Park, Gujarat.

The scope of work for the supply of Goods for the Balance of System (BOS) for the solar power project includes the complete design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, packing, and delivery of materials at site, the engineering company said in a regulatory filing.

Adani Group companies have also covered associated activities such as Factory Acceptance Tests, rectification and remedial works, and provision of necessary tools and equipment in the LOI to Bondada.

Adani's Khavda Renewable Energy Park, spanning 538 sq km, is a 30 GW renewable energy plant on barren land at Khavda in Kutch of Gujarat. Upon development, this would become the world's largest power plant regardless of the energy source.


The area of the project is five times the size of Paris and almost as large as the city of Mumbai. The conglomerate started the project in December 2022 with the first production made on December 31, 2023. Adani Green Energy Limited plans to invest about Rs 1.5 lakh crore and the Adani group is said to invest about Rs 2.3 lakh crore in renewable energy and manufacturing capacity by 2030.
