Shweta Tiwari's ex-husband claims daughter Palak was isolated; comments on Ibrahim Ali Khan dating rumours

Send Push
Raja Chaudhary, former actor and ex-husband of television star Shweta Tiwari, has spoken out about his strained relationship with their daughter, Palak Tiwari. In a recent interview, Raja shared that he is not in regular contact with Palak and that their conversations are limited to social media exchanges. While he does attempt to reach out by writing letters, he believes Palak is too occupied with her growing career to respond meaningfully.

According to him, his daughter rarely makes time for him and, in his words, “doesn’t have time” for any interaction beyond brief digital communication. Despite this, he said he continues to update her about his life in hopes of reconnecting.

Accusations Against Shweta Tiwari
Raja expressed deep resentment toward his ex-wife Shweta Tiwari, blaming her for cutting him off from his daughter and her paternal family. He alleged that Shweta deliberately kept Palak away from him after their separation and made no effort to allow a co-parenting arrangement. He recalled that during their legal battle, he was left with no option but to give up trying to meet Palak, claiming that the divorce terms effectively barred him from seeing his daughter.

He also said that Shweta didn’t just isolate him but also disconnected Palak from his parents and extended family, who, according to him, adored her deeply. Raja believes the damage done to his image during the separation was irreparable, even affecting his ability to rent a home.

Raja’s Struggles and Sobriety
Acknowledging his past as an alcoholic, Raja said he has been sober for two years. He emphasized that while relationships can break down, children should not be caught in the crossfire. He accused Shweta of never allowing an honest conversation between them to address the issues and claimed she used her position and influence to dominate the narrative and legal proceedings.

He said that the divorce left him financially drained and emotionally broken, drawing a metaphor comparing it to a plane crash where he “died” and Shweta “survived.” He stated that he had to rely on the court to reclaim property that originally belonged to his family.

Views on Palak’s Rumoured Relationship
Apart from the personal grievances, Raja also voiced concern over Palak's rumoured relationship with Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. While neither Palak nor Ibrahim has confirmed their relationship, Raja suggested that young people should focus on their careers instead of romantic entanglements. He firmly stated that relationships before the age of 30 to 35 are often a mistake, as people are not mature enough to handle them.

He added that early relationships often lead to regret and emotional baggage, citing his own failed marriage as an example. Raja believes that young individuals like Palak should avoid such distractions and prioritize their professional growth.

Meanwhile, Palak Tiwari continues to focus on her work in the film industry. She was recently seen in The Bhootnii and has completed shooting for Romeo S3. She is also working on Rosie: The Saffron Chapter.
