The current season of IPL 2025 has reached an exciting turn. The league stage is over and the playoffs will start on Thursday i.e. tomorrow. Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have entered Qualifier-1 by finishing in the top two, while Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians finished third and fourth in the points table respectively. Now the Eliminator match will be played between the two on May 30. Qualifier-1 and Eliminator matches will be played in Mullanpur. Punjab Police has made full security arrangements for these matches.

Punjab Police alert regarding security
Punjab Police on Wednesday said that the IPL Qualifier 1 and Eliminator are unlikely to be affected due to security reasons after the military conflict between India and Pakistan following the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam. As per the revised schedule, Qualifier-1 will be held in Mullanpur on Thursday and Eliminator on Friday, while Qualifier-2 and the final will be played in Ahmedabad on June 1 and 3 respectively.
65 police officers and more than 2500 jawans will be deployed
Punjab's Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla said, 'There are two very important matches tomorrow and day after tomorrow at Mullanpur Stadium. One is a qualifier and the other is an eliminator. People are coming from every corner of India. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people. We have made extensive security arrangements in and around the stadium. It is being reviewed today. Our police force has around 65 officers and more than 2500 jawans deployed. We will ensure that those coming here do not face any kind of trouble. At the same time, security measures will also be very strict. Yesterday we rehearsed the mock drill. Even today the police force is rehearsing the mock drill.'

IPL schedule was changed
On April 22, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people were killed. In response to this, the Indian Army took action against the terrorist bases of Pakistan under Operation Sindoor and destroyed nine of their terrorist bases. The tournament was suspended for a week during the military conflict between India and Pakistan, after which the schedule of IPL had to be changed.
