Indore: Traffic Training For Police Recruits At PTC

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A detailed traffic management training workshop was conducted on Thursday at the Police Training College in Musakhedi for newly recruited male and female constables currently undergoing their basic police training.

The session was conducted by ACP (Traffic) Manoj Kumar Khatri, DSP (PTC) Anil Verma, Inspector Suraj Nagwanshi, along with the Traffic Education Wing. The recruits were trained through presentations, educational videos, quizzes and live demonstrations, with a focus on key components of traffic management such as engineering, education, enforcement, and emergency response.

During the workshop, recruits were introduced to vital concepts including traffic hand signals, road markings and types and meanings of various road signboards.

The importance of lane discipline and protocols for managing VIP duties were also explained in detail. They were given practical exposure to the use of modern traffic tools like light batons, breath analysers, POS machines and the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS).

DSP Anil Verma addressed the recruits on the importance of road safety using the familiar phrase "Nazar Hati, Durghatna Ghati" to stress the dangers of negligence. Adding a creative element to the session, constable Sumant Singh conducted practical demonstrations and used poems to explain traffic rules in an engaging manner.

The recruits participated with enthusiasm, showing a deep interest in the subject and a commitment to traffic safety and awareness.
