Beloved Disney icon makes history as she's awarded star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026 has been announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Recipients of the Star for the upcoming year were announced after careful consideration by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel.

The new group of entertainment professionals being honoured with a star span the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Recording and Sports Entertainment.

35 famed individuals will receive their very own coveted star on the prestigious sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, as announced by actor Eugenio Derbez, radio personality Richard Blade, and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Steven Nissen during a live press conference on Wednesday, July 2.

Among those being honoured are pop icon Miley Cyrus, Academy Award winner Rami Malek, Oscar-nominated actors Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore, Emily Blunt, Rachel McAdams, and Stanley Tucci; celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay; legendary rock band Air Supply; Bollywood A-lister Deepika Padukone; Grammy-winning Beninese-French singer-songwriter and actress Angélique Kidjo; and basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal.

Cyrus will be the first person born in the 1990s to receive a star in Hollywood Walk of Fame history. Director Tony Scott and Italian special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi will be honoured posthumously.

The 2025-2026 class of Hollywood Walk of Fame honourees were chosen at a meeting held on June 20, 2025, ratified by the Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors on June 25, among hundreds of nominations that were made to the committee.

Exact dates for the star ceremonies are yet to be scheduled and recipients of the star have up to two years to schedule their star ceremonies from the date of their selection, before they expire. Star ceremonies are usually announced on the official Hollywood Walk of Fame website, ten days prior to their scheduled date. The ceremonies are broadcast worldwide, and sponsors have to fund the star, the ceremony, as well as the maintenance of the legendary symbol.

Chairman Peter Roth said in a statement: “We are excited to announce the newest selections of 35 esteemed individuals who will be enshrined onto the Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2026. These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honour them with this well-deserved recognition. Join us in celebrating their achievements and legacies as they take their place among the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
