Mack Boyd could still be alive on Emmerdale after the latest twist with John Sugden, according to fans.
Viewers are suspecting that somehow Mack will live another day, after killer John eerily walked towards him while wielding an axe. Mack had very nearly escaped after two weeks being held captive in a disused bomb shelter.
Two weeks earlier Mack was 'killed off' when John shot him with an arrow, before appearing to slam a rock over his head. But days ago we finally learned Mack's real fate and that he had survived.
Ever since, John has had him chained up in the underground bunker and has refused to let him leave as he knows all his deepest, darkest secrets. But on Thursday Mack managed to escape, and fled for his life.

But when John initially caught up with him, he hit him over the head with a rock to keep him in the woods while he went to help Aaron Dingle. John had drugged his husband Aaron leaving him seriously ill, and he appeared to have a seizure.
Mack begged him to save Aaron, and while John was gone he managed to get away. But as a relieved Mack staggered through fields and made it to a road, his joy was short-lived.
Just as Mack thought he was free, grinning that he was alive, John caught up with him in a cruel twist. With Mack wounded on the floor with his broken ankle, he could do nothing but look up in terror as John slowly walked towards him wielding the axe.
The episode faded to black just as John reached him, massively hinting he was about to kill Mack for real this time. As fans fretted over the tense moment, many believed Mack would not survive yet another brush with death so soon after the other.
But some fans had faith that Mack would live to tell the tale, given he is currently the only one who knows everything. Taking to X, one fan theorised: "I don’t care!!!! MACK IS ALIVE!!!!!"
Another fan said: "Call me crazy but I know Mack is still alive, he has to be, because when this is all over, Aaron will need his best mate." A third added: "Currently, Mack is the only one who knows the other stuff John has done, killing Nate, ‘saving’ Chas, Jacob etc… I’m hoping this is enough to keep him alive as he’s the only one who can relay this info to others."
