The last time the title was wrapped up before the final day - back in 2023 - champions were passed over for final day live coverage in favour of the games impacting the race for European football and the relegation battle.

Those watching on Sunday will have been able to see 10-man Liverpool battle back to earn a draw against the winners. Ismaila Sarr gave Palace an early lead, with Ryan Gravenberch sent off midway through the second half, but equalised late on with his 29th league goal of the season.
