The body of a businessman was found with no trousers inside a hole after he went to pick up his car.
Adalberto Amarillo dos Santos Junior, 35, on May 30 after he told a pal he was heading to pick up in his car at the Interlagos Race Track in . His body was later found inside a hole at a construction site in the same area on June 3. are treating his death as suspicious and are now investigating what happened in the hours before he vanished. In a bizarre twist, his body was found without trousers or trainers.
There were no clear signs of a struggle and investigators did not find any blood at the scene. Adalberto's body was positively identified by family members, though his exact cause of death has not been determined.

The helmet he had been wearing was found inside the hole, reports . Adalberto's wallet and mobile phone were also located at the site.
Distressed family members have said Adalberto's bank has not registered any activity since he died. The city of Sao Paulo said the area where the businessman was found is part of a track refurbishment project with a new wall being constructed around the race track.
The area was fenced off and the hole is estimated to be about 10ft deep and 1.4ft wide. Police fear Adalberto's body could have been placed in the hole after his death.

Forensics did not identify any signs that he attempted to get out of the hole and said he had died between 36 and 40 hours before being found. The case is now under investigation by the 87th Police District and they are being supported by the Homicide and Personal Protection Department.
Police have no explanation about how the businessman died, or how he came to be without his trousers and trainers. Race track organisers said they were supporting the investigation and have shared footage from security cameras at the site with police.
"The Civil Police and the Fire Department were called," the statement said. "The investigations are ongoing by the DHPP Unit. The city government is at the authorities’ disposal to assist in the progress of the case."
No arrests have been made and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances around Adalberto's disappearance.
