The Voice coach quits ITV show and replaced by huge American music icon

Music icon is returning to our screens as she joins The Voice UK coaching team. The Destiny's Child legend, who was previously a judge on The , will replace LeAnn Rimes on the new series of the talent competition.

Superstar mentors will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones are set to return to the coaching panel, joined by last year's victorious coaches, McFly's and Danny Jones, who made The Voice UK history as the first-ever double chair.

But LeAnn won't return and instead, Kelly will take her seat. The Grammy Award-winning artist, songwriter, actress, producer and TV personality shot to fame in the 90s as part of the worldwide pop phenomenon Destiny's Child.

As a solo performer, she has sold over 40 million records globally and is recognised for chart-topping singles such as 'Dilemma', 'Stole', 'Work' and 'When Love Takes Over'.

A familiar face on the small screen, Kelly has served as a judge on The X Factor UK and The X Factor USA, and as a coach on The Voice . With decades of experience in the music industry, she remains a respected and influential figure in global entertainment and pop culture.

"I am excited to join The Voice UK as a coach, and am looking forward to working with the excellent and passionate coaches the show is known for. I can’t wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let’s go!" Kelly said as her place on the team was announced.

Sir Tom Jones welcomed Kelly's arrival, saying: "It’s always a pleasure to return to The Voice UK as every year I’m reminded of the incredible talent we have in this country.

"I’m looking forward to sitting alongside will.i.am once again, having Tom and Danny in their chair for a second series, and of course I’m excited to welcome Kelly Rowland to the panel. She’s an amazing artist with a huge amount of experience to share."

Will.I.Am added: "can't wait for the new season of The Voice UK. I'm so happy to be back on it. If you thought last year was dope, this year we've got Kelly Rowland who's gonna take this season to the dopest level possible!

"We've got Danny and Tom who are the super dope duo, and the dopest legend of them all is back - Sir Tom Jones. The whole point of this show is to watch aspirational, ambitious singers pursue their dreams - it's a joy prescription for a healthy amount of dopamine that brings love to our lives."

Emma Willis will return once again as host, with the former presenter excited to be working with new coach Kelly. "I’m so excited to be back for another series of The Voice UK," Emma mused.

"It’s one of the most joyful shows to work on - full of passion, talent and of course those unforgettable moments when the chairs turn. With our brilliant coaches returning and the utterly fabulous Kelly Rowland joining the panel, I know this series is going to be something really special."
