The incident took place in Som Lalit School located in Navrangpura area. This tragic incident that happened on Thursday has shocked everyone. The CCTV footage of the school showed that the student was walking in the lobby at around 12:30 in the afternoon while spinning a key ring. Then suddenly she jumped across the railing. Her friends tried to stop her, but failed.

The incident happened when the lunch break was going on in the school. After the student jumped, there was a lot of screaming in the school. The students of the class ran towards the railing. The teacher also came out. But no one could understand anything. After jumping, the student suffered serious injuries, including a deep injury on the head and fractures in the bones of the hands and legs. She was immediately taken to the nearby Nidhi Hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU. Later the family shifted her to another hospital in Thaltej, but she died during treatment.

'No foul play suspected'

Police said- The reason for the student's suicide is not yet known. We are gathering more information about the incident. At present, we do not suspect any foul play, yet we are investigating all aspects. It would be premature to comment on why she took this step.

School manager Pragnesh Shastri said- The student was studying in the school for the last five years, recently she returned to school 10 days ago after a month's vacation. She had also submitted a medical certificate in the school. The student's father had dropped her to school in the morning. According to the students, she suddenly started shouting during the class. However, the teacher calmed her down. Navrangpura police has registered a medico-legal case in this matter and started investigation. Police have recorded the statements of school teachers, staff and some students. CCTV footage is being investigated. On the other hand, the family is in shock due to the student's death.
