On one hand, India and England are competing in the Test series, on the other hand, the boards of both countries have joined hands to stop the third T20 league. The Indian Board (BCCI) and the English Board (ECB) have done this to prevent their T20 tournaments IPL and The Hundred from getting weakened. The BCCI and the ECB have decided that they will not support the plan of the Saudi T20 League worth about $ 400 million. The Australian Cricket Board (CA) seems to be taking a different stand from India and England in this matter. According to the report of the British newspaper 'The Guardian', 'During the final of the World Test Championship played at Lord's this month, the ECB and the BCCI agreed to come together to oppose the new league. Both the boards agreed that they would issue No Objection Certificates i.e. NOCs to their players to join the new T20 league. Both the boards will also lobby the International Cricket Council (ICC) to stop their support.'

On the other hand, Cricket Australia (CA) appeared keen to partner with Saudi investors in the league. According to the news of 'The Guardian', 'According to plan, Saudi Arabia's SRJ Sports Investments has promised to invest $ 400 million (about Rs 3442 crore) to establish the new league. In this, eight teams will play four tournaments at different places every year. It is being compared to the Grand Slam of tennis.' The main objective of Cricket Australia is to make a profit from the private investor as the Big Bash League (BBL) franchise is owned by the governing body and the states.

The estimated value of IPL is $ 12 billion. The ECB is preparing to earn about $ 700 million by selling a 49 percent stake in the eight franchise teams of 'The Hundred'. According to the report, 'Cricket South Africa (CSA) raised more than $136 million by selling the franchise of the SA20 competition to the owners of the Indian Premier League three years ago.' According to the newspaper, the ICC is being run by former BCCI secretary Jay Shah. The Indian board can benefit from this.
