Behror police had received secret information that Abhishek alias Batar was planning to commit a major crime.
A shooter from the Rohit Godara gang has been arrested in the Kotputli Behror district of Rajasthan. A reward of 25,000 rupees was announced for information leading to the arrest of Abhishek, aka Batar, an active member of the gang. Police had been searching for him for a long time, but he consistently eluded them. This time, police tracked him down and engaged him. However, he was attempting to escape disguised as a woman. This time, he failed and was captured.
The prize shooter was repeatedly dodgingKotputli Behror Superintendent of Police (SP) Devendra Kumar Bishnoi provided information about the operation. He stated that the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force had released a list of criminals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs. Among these was Abhishek alias Batar, an active member of the Rohit Godara gang.
Abhishek, a resident of Molahera, Paniyala police station, had been eluding police for a long time despite a reward of 25,000 rupees. This time, the police received a tip-off that Abhishek was planning a major crime. Based on the information, a police team raided the scene.
Trying to escape wearing a lehengaWhen the police team arrived at the scene, they became suspicious of a man wearing a lehenga-lughi. Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Bishnoi said, "The team had set up a blockade. A man was wearing women's clothing, but his height and demeanor aroused suspicion. When he was stopped and searched, three country-made pistols, 12 live cartridges, and a magazine were recovered. When questioned, he revealed his true identity."
After the arrest, the police dressed the accused in women's clothes and paraded him around the city in the same disguise. Currently, 8 criminal cases are registered against Abhishek, which include cases of robbery, assault, threat and illegal weapons.
The police is now interrogating him about what crime he was planning to commit and is gathering information about the hideouts of other gang members.
