Manchester United have received multiple bids from overseas clubs for Alejandro Garnacho, but the winger is waiting for Chelsea, according to reports. Garnacho is among the players set to leave United this summer after spending the entirety of pre-season away from Ruben Amorim's squad.
The 21-year-old has already rejected an approach from Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, where he would have reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo. He is believed to be prioritising a Premier League stay and has locked in on Stamford Bridge as his preferred destination.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho wants to join Chelsea this summer after he was keen to complete a switch in January.
The Blues are said to be weighing up a bid that they plan to submit later in August, when United may be under more pressure to cash in on those surplus to requirements.
Romano adds that Garnacho has been the subject of multiple bids from abroad. However, he is holding out for Chelsea to make their move before the deadline.
The Telegraph report that Chelsea have already completed a series of background checks on Garnacho to understand his character and personality.

He is thought to have passed those checks, but Enzo Maresca is currently focusing on a deal for RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons.
United's need to generate funds from player sales would intensify if they beat Newcastle United to the signing of Simons' teammate, Benjamin Sesko.
Other clubs appear to be joining Chelsea in biding their time before a late pursuit for fellow outcasts Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
However, Amorim has sent clubs interested in the members of his 'bomb squad' a clear warning that United will not entertain lowball offers in a late panic.

"[Technical director] Jason [Wilcox], [chief executive] Omar Berrada and the club have a number for these players," Amorim explained on United's pre-season tour of the US.
"If they don't reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that.
"Some players have to find a new place so we have more space in the team, and other players clearly show they want a new challenge and want new teams.
"We are just allowing these players to have time to think and to decide. I understand the clubs are waiting for the last minute, but they can have a surprise. I'm ready to receive the players."
