Ballard has finally dropped on Prime Video and fans cannot get enough of actress Maggie Q as Detective Renee Ballard.
Excitement has been building for months following Maggie Q's Detective Ballard showing up in the final series of Bosch Legacy to help Harry Bosch (played by Titus Welliver) with a case.
Now it's time for Ballard to step into the spotlight with the drama dropping on Prime Video this week with subscribers thrilled by the latest crime drama.
Ballard is tasked with heading up the cold cases department at the LAPD with a team of volunteers to help, dealing with some seriously complex cases on top of her own struggles within the force.
As fans await news of a second series, here's everything actress Maggie Q has been in prior to the Prime Video hit.
While she was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Ballard's Maggie Q started off modelling and acting in Hong Kong which is where she had starring roles in action films like Gen-Y Cops and Naked Weapon.
She then went on to feature in major American productions like Mission Impossible III with Tom Cruise in 2006 and Live Free or Die Hard the following year with Bruce Willis.
Three years later, Q took on the leading role in the iconic video game Nikita, an assassin and spy that goes rogue against the secret government agency that trained her.
Nikita ran for four season before it ended in 2013 and the next year, she featured in sci-fi film Divergent with The Gentlemen's Theo James and Big Little Lies' Shailene Woodley.
It was also in 2014 that Q took on the role of Lieutenant Beth Davis in the drama Stalker which saw she and her team investigate stalkers and cyber bullies.
Stalker proved to be a life-changing role for Q on a personal level as she met her now husband and former co-star Dylan McDermott on set.
Another major role for the Ballard actress came in 2016 when she was given the part of CIA officer Hannah Wells in 24 icon Kiefer Sutherland's next hit series Designated Survivor.
Since the Prime Video show's release, fans have been praising Q for her portrayal of Ballard with one fan stating that she is "absolutely fire", with a fire emoji.
"Only on the second episode of Ballard but OMG it's brilliant! Maggie Q is perfectly cast as Ballard", someone agreed.
Once again using the "fire" emoji, another commented: "Maggie Q is fire in Ballard - smart, serious crime drama done right."
Ballard is available to watch on Prime Video.
