All flights at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) were grounded due to an "aircraft emergency", according to reports.
The disruption related to an incoming flight that encountered a hydraulic issue.
The US Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement: "Operations are normal after the FAA briefly slowed arrivals and departures at the airport because the aircraft was disabled on the runway."
Bloomberg reports that the temporary ground stop was put in place due to a disabled aircraft on the runway.
Officials say Delta Air Lines Flight 183 landed safely at JFK around 1.30pm local time after the crew reported a hydraulic issue.
