If your idea of counting down to Christmas involves something a little more sophisticated than chocolate behind cardboard doors, Jo Malone's Advent Calendar 2025 might just be your new festive ritual. Best known for its luxury fragrances, candles, and creams that look as good on a shelf as they smell on your skin, Jo Malone scents tend to be minimalist but elegant. This year's calendar captures all of that, with a playful twist.
Retailing at £360 with contents worth £539, the calendar saves you nearly £180 (around 33%) on the full value of the products. Considering it contains a single 30ml Jo Malone cologne that costs £59, a 30ml hair mist costing £40, and a vitamin-E lip conditioner that retails for £30, plus three mini candles (each at least £28), you're getting a lot for your money. It would make an impressive gift if you were already planning to treat someone to a Jo Malone fragrance and wanted them to try a few different options.
It fares well compared with competitors. Acqua di Parma's Advent Calendar retails at £495, while Dior's is £570. Jo Malone's option sits in the sweet spot. It's still undeniably luxe but offers strong value given the number of full-size and exclusive items inside.
Unlike previous designs, the shape of this year's edition takes inspiration from darts, bringing a little fun to Jo Malone's classic aesthetic. The 25 drawers are dotted around the board, so each day you need to search for today's offering. The packaging is pretty enough to leave out on display all December, whether next to the Christmas tree or on your dressing table. Plus, it's sturdy enough to re-use next year, perhaps as a jewellery or trinket box once all the treats are gone.
Inside, there's a carefully curated mix of 25 Jo Malone favourites spanning colognes, candles, hand and body creams, and a few limited-edition surprises. The lineup includes a range of 9ml colognes, including the new festive scent Sandalwood and Spiced Apricot, alongside classics like Wood Sage and Sea Salt, Pomegranate Noir, and Myrrh and Tonka Cologne Intense.
One of the big highlights is the inclusion of a full-sized Limited-Edition Orange Bitters Cologne (30ml, worth £58). There are also three full-sized travel candles (worth £28). The rest of the drawers hide perfectly sized minis, including silky body creams and hand washes, which are ideal for travel.

The reviews for the Advent calendar have all been hugely positive. One person on the Jo Malone website wrote: "Heaven in a box. I own a lot of Jo Malone scents ,but don't always like to commit to a bottle without trying first. Now I have a few 9ml to try from the calendar and go from there. So I will no doubt be adding to my collection."
Another person wrote: "Most stunning gift ever. I have been a Jo Malone loyalist for more than 20 years. I love everything about the brand and regularly get asked what scent I'm wearing (it's a secret). So for Christmas, I splurged and gifted myself this Advent calendar. The box itself is so stunning and, in true Jo Malone fashion, expertly packed and curated. Well worth the money."
However, a few people noted that they were disappointed that the fragrance selection hadn't changed over the years and it was still Orange Bitters Cologne, but most were delighted with the choices. The main point to consider before buying is that it is a luxury indulegence. There are cheaper options out there like the LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar, which costs £105 but is packed with products worth £655.
