A vehicle has dramatically fallen off an overbridge forcing a section of the M20 to be closed, sparking traffic chaos.
According to traffic information supplier Inrix, a lorry was involved in the collision on Monday morning, with photos from the scene showing the aftermath of a tractor crashing through barriers onto the central reservation.
Kent Police said: "Police were called at 11:17am to a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A227 overbridge near Wrotham. A tractor subsequently fell onto the central reservation between junction two and three of the M20.
"Kent Police is currently attending the scene alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, where one man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
"Both the M20 and the A227 at the scenes remain closed while emergency services attend the incident. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible."
