Parts of the UK will be hotter than Barcelona as the latest weather maps show the exact date when the sweltering heat will blast the country. WXChart maps for July 1 show that the temperature levels in the UK will soar to 36C while Barcelona will see the highs of 34C during the same day.
According to the weather maps, areas around Manchester, Stoke, and Leeds will sizzle at 36C while other parts of England, such as London, Birmingham, and Liverpool, may see the mercury levels oscillating between 32 and 34C. This means that Brits travelling to the popular European city for their summer getaway can look forward to weather just as delightful as that of the UK's scenic seaside spots.

Western Europe sweltered under unusually hot conditions last week, with several countries - including France and the UK- experiencing significantly above-average temperatures. The heat built steadily throughout the week, reaching its peak on Saturday when parts of France approached 40C.
In Tusson, located in south-western France, the mercury hit 39C-surpassing the area's previous record high for June by 0.1C. By Sunday, temperatures began to ease in both France and the UK, as the intense heat shifted eastward across the continent into Germany.
The UK recorded a blistering 33.2C in Charlwood, Surrey, on Saturday afternoon.
The Met Office's long-range forecast between June 28 and July 7 reads: "Weather conditions are expected to be remain changeable through this period, as a series of Atlantic low pressure systems pass to the northwest of the UK.
"These will tend to bring some occasional rain or showers, most frequent in northwestern areas where it may also be rather breezy or windy at times. Whilst some rain or showers will be possible across the south and east, here longer drier spells are more likely, under the influence of higher pressure.
"There is also the chance of some occasional very warm, perhaps locally hot weather, as south or southwesterly winds allow brief bursts of hotter air to encroach from the continent, but probably fairly short-lived and perhaps also accompanied by a few thunderstorms at times."
